Default By 'Line-in' do they really mean 'Line-out'?

In the D2's instructions they show a cable labled as Line-in Cable. It looks like just two 1/8" headphone jacks on the two ends of a cable. I cannot see how this would work as a line-in cable, as it could only plug into the D2's headphone jack...thereby functioning as a Line-out cable.

Am I missing something, or is it mislabled?

There is a Line In Converter cable for Cowon D2 - see here:
http://www.soleta.nl/line-in-kabel-c...r-d2-p-77.html
Line-in cable is ordinary 3.5mm-to-3.5mm cable.

Thanks-

So that means you can plug an external mic into it, and the headphone jack then functions as an input?

Look at the picture of the adapter, it doesn't hook to the headphone jack, it hooks up to the same port as the power adapter. But yes, you can hook up an external mic.

The Line-In cable converter hooks up to the same port used for A/C charging, and accepts that mini-to-mini (or, mini-to-whatever) stereo plug for connection to the line source.

There is also a TV-Out component convertor which hooks up to that same A/C port, oddly enough.

So, that single port on the D2 can be used for charging, Line-In or TV-Out.

Yeah, the line-in cable is just a common 1/8" male jack to 1/8" male jack interconnect. In order to connect it (or any other 1/8" male jack termination, for instance on an external microphone) to the D2, you still need the line-in converter, which has a 1/8" female jack and a proprietary D2 jack.

Edit: wader and I were typing simultaneously .
