Default USB Host Questions

Do I have to move files to the cowon a2 to play it through the usb host? And can I send files through the usb host to the device the cowon a2 is hosting?

No and No i dont think you can do either of those although someone has been messing around with the A2 and has been able to play files through usb host instead of transferring.

Are you sure about that last part JF? I haven't heard anyone claim that they could play files via USBOTG.

Good news ! - finally I managed to play mediafiles (AVI,MP3,TXT,JPG) right from external flash memory via external card reader.
Even more - the files/folders copy function now works in all ways: HDD<->HDD, HDD<->USB, USB<->USB.

Some freeze arises while playing AVI/MP3 for first 15-20 sec, but then everything goes OK.
Still need to embed into 'a2_player' binary safe USB-UMS unmount procedure plus some error checking traps...
FoxStream who has been working on patching the A2 firmware managed it =]

I'm not sure there is mndogydude, it's only been done in the last few days and to be honest, is quite self explanatory. Just read through this http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showth...t=13959&page=6

it should answer most things you wanna know about the new modified USB OTG. If not, i'm sure we can answer anymore q's you might have

Try http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showth...t=13959&page=6 instead, sorry about that.
Well, unless that drive is on a compatibility list or someone has tried it and confirmed it works, then I don't think you can really tell until you buy it and try it. If you want it anyway, do it, but if you want it just for your A2 you could end up dissappointed
