Alright, I lost my COWON A2 that I bought for $269 in November 2006. I'm online right now looking for a new one and I cannot find anything less than $299? WTF?

Is there anywhere where I can buy it for less than $250?

Did you check the place where you bought it from originally? I quickly looked on Pricegrabber and I don't see it for under $300.

The price may have increased because word got around that it's a fine piece of equipment, and it may not be as available as it used to be.

No doubt (I think) you bought an 'open box' item from jetmall?? That's where I got mine. They just don't have any 'open box' items right now... and my guess is that they won't have anymore... but that's just a guess.

Yes I did buy it from Jetmall. It was wrapped just like how a new one would have came so it made no difference.

Then I bought another one on Amazon Marketplace for $199 as a open box, but it never showed up so I had to get a refund.
