I haven't spent very long messing with it or looking at the manual, but i still haven't figured out how to make playlists on my I5. I see where it says add to playlists, and I click that and nothing apparent happens. Perhaps it is being sent to playlist, but in that case I can't find how to actually play that play list i'm creating. I figure this should be simple, maybe i'm just slow. So if anyone could quickly point me in the right direction of how to do it, it'd be great.
Thanks

The songs you send to the playlist will be played automatically. When that happens depends on your play mode. It could be the next song if it's set to shuffle-playlist, or never if on no-shuffle-folder.

Ok thanks, I must have it on no-shuffle-folder. But I go to play mode and for shuffle I can only turn it on and off. For boundary it has different letters in the box, is one of these them? Or how do i switch between those play modes you describe.

F = Plays folder only
P = All playlist 1 = repeats one song over and over A = All songs If you want all your playlist to be played randomly, select "P" and then put the tick on shuffle. |

After you made a playlist, get the menu with the file names out, the press mode button to enter the bookmarks/playlist section. There you can see the dynamic playlist. Maybe this isn't what you're asking. If not, please clarify.
Seems to me a lot of you don't know a lot of the features on the I5... Surprises at every corner!! |

You can only queue up a total of 50 songs on the dynamic playlist.

zaphanathpaneah I know what you mean. I would like to have more than one playlist and choose which to play. I have figured out the functions of the dynamic playlist but I still haven't figured out how to make, store, and use other playlists. I have another post about this and someone said you can do this on Jetshell but I sure haven't figured it out yet. I'm sure interested in any other thoughts and help with this.

I believe the Jetshell idea you heard was this... Jetshell will read the m3u playlist and queue up all the songs in the list to download to the i5. But, thats all it does, it just groups the files to download. What someone suggested was to create a folder for different playlists and just use the play folder options. This is the best you can do at this point, I believe. And of couse if you have different playlists with some same music in them, you will just have to put duplicate files on the player. |

Thanks for the input. That's what I have been doing, sure wish there was a way to have multiple playlist. Maybe in a future software upgrade. |
