I am potentially going to buy a d2 and have a few questions
if anyone can answer any of these, thanks =D 1. How do you get songs onto the SD cards? can I put the card in the D2 and transfer songs to and from the card by using the device? or do I need some kind of SD Card reader to hook up to my pc 2. is the internal flash drive able to be modded? like let's say 32gb cards someday in the next thousand years become cheap...would it even be possible to switch the 4gb internal with a 32 gb? or whatever gb? (sorry if this is in wrong forum but the second question didn't seem to fit into the SD Card forum) thanks in advance! |

1. You can use the D2 or a external card reader to put files in the card.
2. The internal memory in not changble, only the SD card is. |

1) No you can't move files using the player. That has to be done on your pc. However you don't need a seperate card reader. Just plug the player into your pc with the SD card in and it will act as a card reader for you. 2) Never say never. But I seriously doubt it. I don't have the knowledge nor the courage to split my player apart. In my opinion the best solution is to use bigger SD cards. At least so far Cowon seems to acknowledge the demand for it.

^thanks, yeah as long as the d2 can act as a card reader I'm set
haha yeah it's probably better to wait for cowon to make a larger capacity d2 then take one apart.. |

My advice is to invest $10 into a sdhc card reader, they are alot quicker than having the d2 attached to yr pc and more convenient than having to plug in the d2 to your pc everytime. You can get them on ebay |

So does a card reader take the PC out of the loop? I guess I don't understand what the reader does?

* Take the card off the D2 and put it into the card reader. * Plug card reader to pc. * Transfer files to/from the card. * Put the card back in the D2. of course you can`t touch the files in the D2 internal memory this way. |
