My I5 has problems with colors if I use more than 1.9G of memory. The color stays on, and you don't get green anymore. Once you get below 1.9G, you are ok. Also, I originally had the 1G version, but switched to the 2G. The 2G takes a long time to turn on. Other than that, no problems. I wish it was a little smaller, maybe I should have gone U2. Also, I wish the two main buttons felt a little more solid. Not bad, but not perfect either.
I use both the E6 and the E6i headphones with it. The E6i works well, however, you have to tweak the preprogrammed equalizer settings because of the boost you get with the 6i. I need to do some listening tests to determine which pair of headphones I prefer. Right now, I'm using the E6i. Great sound...though the bass can get a little muddy at times. Not sure if its the EQ settings, the player, or the headphones yet as I've basically turned the EQ bass settings flat. One final question. It took me a while to figure out how to use the neck string with the player. There is a tiny gap at the end of the player where you plug the headphones in where I slide the necklace through and then loop it. It took me a while, becuase I have to use a pin to get the string through. Perhaps that is not the way its supposed to be used. Anyone, thoughts on what I've done? thanks, Hoo Fighter |

The necklace hole in the I5 is quite small. I had to use a trick to get my loop through it, too.
I have the 1GB version and the only problem with colors is when the battery runs low. Then only the green color works. It is a power consumption issue and the I5 limits power usage when the battery is low. |
