Default Firmware 1.48 bug?

Hi,
I've upgraded to the last firmware but I experience a nasty bug.
When I try to fast forward inside a track the time counter and the progress bar don't get updated correctly; so It's very difficult to find a specific point.
I'm using variable bitrate mp3.
Has anyone experienced the same problem?
Firmware 1.48 beta1 worked better (though not perfectly) in this field...

Bye and Thanks

Yes, this is correct.
I have the same problems, especially in ogg files but also on mp3 files with variable bitrate. On some tracks it is even impossible to fast forward

I5 has this terrible bug when it plays VBR files...some files work fine, but MOST of them not.

This bug has always been annoying me on the G3. I think it got a little better with 1.48. Did the i5 really not have this in the past? That would be interesting, since I'd assume the codebase for these two models should be largely identical (with the U2 not being too different either). It looks like main f/w development was continued on the G3 and i5 and U2 got backports.
