Also, In reading that article, I realized that this past summer, AMD sold Alchemy to "RMI" (about 6 months ago). Could this perhaps be a reason for the delay? theres a new 1250 chip out now, with this to say:

"RMI touts its older Au1200 chip as the "current performance per Watt leader;" however, it says the new Alchemy chips will perform better and consume less power.

RMI expects the Au1250 to clock up to 600MHz -- 20 percent faster than the Au1200. And, compared to the Au1200, the Au1250 will consume 30 percent less power during activity, and 60 percent less power during inactivity, RMI claims.

Like the Au1200, the Au1250 will be capable of decompressing and rendering digital content at D1 (720 x 480) resolutions. Supported codecs include MPEG-1, 2, and 4; wmv9; DivX; and Xvid."

I sure hope the delay is for the upgrade

this is a sample post using the archos wifi604. internet is quite impressive. it gives me an idea how the q5 will work.

i cant wait for the cowon A3 and Q5... some forum says these products are just a proposal... ( a dream neither) I visited cowon website and sad to say there's no NEWS about these models... Im very excited about this gadgets.. According to the posted features ... its very compact ... very portable ... very useful player especially the Q5... But most of us right now are waiting for the SRP of Q5 and A3... I almost wasted my time researching about the ARCHOS AV500 but i was immediately amazed when i saw the features of COWON A3 and Q5.. Im hopin' that cowon will soon release OFFICIAL Statement regarding The Mistery OF A3 and Q5.... till next time... PREPARE!
