Default MTP or MSC

hi ppl

i've my d2 firmware uprgraded to 3.40b and for a while been trying out the enhancements. It had a nicer usb connectivity enhancement. The general settings has 2 options of usb connectivity: MSC(mass storage class) or MTP ( media transfer protocol), though i actually dont know wat scenario actually distinguishes them. someone help me here?

also i guess it runs a linux kernel...sweet... sooner or later i wish the iaudio ppl release source code just the way they did for a2. opinions?

i much rather prefer UMS/MSC than MTP. much more flexible as far as connecting it to any computer and organizing and doing as you wish. Sometimes MTP thinks its smarter than you in organizing your files and you get duplicate or incorrect folders and it won't let you fix it easily. MSC is plug-n-play joy.

i agree i always use the MSC (mass storage class) on any mp3 its much easier to drag and drop files into the D2 ... makes life simpler really

Think simple - reduce the whole of its parts into the simplest terms, as the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams, but a designer knows he has achieved perfection; not then there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
