Firmware V3.40b released!! Supports SDHC cards!

Cowon has just released a new firmware on their koeran web site.

You can download it here.

You've got to backup your files before installing.

The following is changes translated from Korean by myself, but I'm afraid that I've translated well enough to make you understand. My english is not that good

- Added electronic dictionary feature for Koreans
- Supoort ID3 music library
- Support SDHC cards
- You can make the side buttons work even in hold mode.
- Added virtual motion UI(I guess it's similar to mouse action feature of Firefox)
- Support MTP / MS DRM 10
- Added DAB SLS(slide show) feature
- No more black screen when you paused movie
- Improved FM radio reception
- Excluded movie shuffle mode
- fixed a bug in playing files in record mode
- Stabilized deleting file feature
- Stabilized some features

Is it some kind of beta version or Korean only? On English web page of Cowon there is nothing about this firmware yet.

I think You need to download the dictionary DB files.

this is for korean models only?

You choose at startup.
Isn't the Korean modells all DMB?
Anyway it seems to work just fine on my player.

Edit: My .ZAP Glider 2GB SD card won't work with any firmware above 2.21. I think it is more important that the SD card follows standards correctly with SDHC support enebled. Anyone else that can't get their SD cards to work with this firmware?

I installed the firmware but now the videos suck

: they are played too fast, while the sound is played correctly. I guess the matter is that the firmware is still a beta version. Anyway, I'm keeping it, cause the FM reception is a lot better and I don't want to disconnect and reconnect three time again my D2 to dist upgrade it. I hope a stable firmware 3.40 is coming soon.

When you unzip the file you get thee maps: 0, 1, 2. Map 0 and 1 both contain D2n.bin. Wich one do I need to use?

You can choose if you want to charge or not when you connect it to the usb (it's an option in settings).

I've tested three video's so far and all of theme seems fine. All of theme are converted with JetAudio.
