im looking at getting an M3 i was wondering can i use the remote to shange setting and put the player on shuffle and then un-plug the remote and just plug head phones into the player its self and keep the settings?

i never ues play lists and dont realy need the remote all the time, im a shuffle and go kind of guy.

the easy question to ur answer is yes you can.

you can effectivly use it as a 20/40gb screenless shuffle player
