Default What do you want to see in the firmware?

It seems every player has a topic for these in every forum ever, so why not one for us?

Here's my wishlist:

1. ID3 browsing
2. Support for SDHC 4gb+ cards.
3. Ability to drag the scroll bar.
4. Move files around on the player.
5. Advanced playlist capabilities (like those on the Karma)
6. A sketchpad-like feature.
7. Take away the double-click thing. That's obnoxious.
8. Games(think of the possibilities!)

I know, I didn't list doesn't include gapless. Personally, I don't have any desire or need for it, so you can add that. What else do you guys want?

Things I really want:
1. ID3 Browsing
2. Search Function for artist, song name, & album
3. Support for Multiple playlists which you can name, save, load, and edit on the D2 itself
4. Ability to drag the scroll bar
5. Accelerating scrolling, (not the scroll bar), but like when you press the down button continuously for a long the time the speed at which D2 scrolls should increase gradually. This makes finding songs easier.

Things that I would Like but I realize are VERY unlikely:
1. Support for SDHC 4GB+ Cards
2. Advanced playlist capabilities (like Karma)
3. Move files around on the player

Number 1 is Absolutely and MAJORLY my biggest desire for my D2. It is very important for me.

1. GAPLESS PLAYBACK
2. ID3 browsing (It has been claimed that a Cowon rep said this will be in the next firmware update)
3. Scrollbar dragging
4. Search functionality

Things that would be cool, but are not necessary:
1. Games
2. Multiple playlist support

The SDHC card issue is not important at all. I don't mind carrying several 4GB SD cards in my bag.

I don't think that there's any way to tell. The first one came out pretty quickly, if you ask me.

EDIT:
Just thought of another feature I'd like.

5. Integration of files between the SD card and the internal memory. So that the files are not in two separate directories and can all be accessed the same way.

Someone said on a forum that 2.21 was on his D2 when he got it.

I pretty much agree with you, I just don't need gapless.

Yeah, it's quite annoying, especially if you keep needing to navigate too and from the external and 'regular' folders to add to the playlist.

I'd like it if the menu key could be set to add to the dynamic playlist when browsing music, it would make stting up on the go playlists really easy. Shouldn't be too hard to add in to the firmware I'd imagine?

It would be nice, if they can integrate, that when you touch the album art image, that it magnifies it, I know I can browse there, but with youst klicken on it in the now playing screen would be a neat feature

Necessary:

1. Gapless playback
2. ID3 tag browsing

Cool if included:

1. Html viewer, supporting tables.
2. Gps, (gps reciever/antenna as accessory).
3. Ability to save more than one playlist...
4. On-screen volume controls

also, keep the sleep timer set. every time, i have to reset it, and sometimes i forget, and my d2 will be on all night, which can't be good for my ears, especially with IEMs.

album art browsing, would be interesting. Some sort of scroll feature which we can use with the touch screen. Something like what you can do in itunes? or something like the image browsing feature on the Nokia N73?

May get complicated though with the amount of albums on the device.

that could be included with ID3 tags. On the Zen Vision: M, if you browse by albums, you can choose to browse by album art rather that title.

another thing would be the ability to drag the scrollbar.

That post pretty much sums it up what I want from a future firmware update.
