Give them a shot, especially given the price difference. I've heard mixed things about pixmania so I'd be cautious to use them rather than amp3.co.uk to be honest!

do you think the price of the 4gb D2 is going to fall much soon? or even better- try to compete with other companies in the Mini pmp market and bring out an 8gb model?

I can't see the price falling too much soon, but sods law says you'll buy it then it'll drop.
Nobody seems sure about an 8gb model. I seriously doubt it will be released until the 8gb clix 2 is out if at all. We knew about the D2 well before its CES appearance so I will assume that we will know of a higher capacity model well before its available. You could always sell the 4gb if a higher capacity one is announced.

Hello all,
God, 212£ for the 4GB at Pixmania. Well, that's a bit expensive compared to the 2GB at 199USD (Roughly 100£) on Jetmall. I would think the 4GB will be at 249USD on Jetmall anytime soon, that is 125£. I will definitely not order in the UK, I never do anyway. I'll wait for the 4GB to be available on Jetmall. Especially, because it's not even really available at Pixmania. Besides, this will give more money to Cowon, which deserve it. When it comes to advancedmp3players, if you wanna pay twice as much as what you should, it's the place to gooooo. Thank u but no thank u Have a nice day Stephane |

I thought this too, until i worked out below Its gbp 166.17 delivered worldwide (they take their 17.5% vat off as its an export), which equates to us 310 and they give you a free 2gb sd card, if the estimates are us$250 plus delivery $10.00 plus the sd card Us$20 = us$280, so the difference is $30 bucks for a device they will have next week, as to May/June for the 4gb to hit the Usa per a cowon agent. Thats why I ordered from them, and as Im Australian and it will be a year until it gets here plus we are allowed us$750 per shipment without any taxes levied, downside is warranty claims but what the hey . |

Hey Mikey,
I am not sure about your calcultation, but one thing is sure, I live in the UK and I will get mine from Jetmall, in 4GB. If you look at how much AMP3P charges for a Sansa e2x0, you'll chocke They have a good choice, which is cool for people who can't oder from or buy in the US, but they are way too expensive Regards Stephane |
