iAudio X5 better sound quality than I5

Is it my imagination but the sound quality on my iAudio X5 seems to be alot better than the sound quality on my iAudio 5 even with the same sound eq and bass settings are set.

I find the sound on the X5 more rich and bassy and before you ask I am using the same earphones.

Anyone with both players notice the difference.

Really?! Thats ashame as I was considering selling my X5 and getting a Cowon A2 for the video performance and quality.
