Continuation of http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=11354 . Mods, I revive this locked topic because of new information. Plus it got locked because the original thread went waaay off topic.
I paid my $90 to get my power circuit board replaced and have recieved my player in working condition. I now have two new files in my root directory... "battery.txt" and "battery.dummy" battery.txt consists of this: 01:07:49 Battery 67% 01:08:05 Battery 67% 01:08:13 Battery 67% 01:08:23 Battery 67% 01:08:32 Battery 67% and .dummy is 14.1 MB and I don't know much else about the file. Are these files of use to anyone? Maybe we can save other people $90 and the hassle and figure out why the hell my player just crapped out. I believe RaeNye had the same problem detailed in the original thread. Peace. |

I have those exact same files on my X5 and I believe they're used in a Rockbox plugin that preforms a battery benchmark.

More likely the OP had them as a result of using Rockbox prior to RMA and Cowon just didn't remove them.
