I have a Sony-Ericsson K700i battery. It's Li-Polymer, 3.6volts but only 700mah. Would that one fit inside the X5? If so I could do a search for a same size-bigger capacity one.

The codes on it say:
Li-Polymer 3.6V
type CBA-0001005
BKB 193 202/11R2A 700mAh
S/N 015361
SI KI BP 05W04

I know that the original K700 battery is a 700mAh, I just trying to know if the maxcell 1700/1900 mAh are just fakes as the one I bought (sold as 1500mAh and 600mAh in reality) or are correct values.

How about the K700i battery? Does it fit in there? Is it the same size as the K700 one? If so, that makes it easier to search in real stores..

As far as Wikipedia is concerned, there is no difference between the k700 and the k700i, in fact both are just the same product.
Even if you don't believe this, the official site for the k700 links to the k700i product page. http://www.sonyericsson.com/product/k700/

I took the leap after seeing that there is a lot of free space for the battery in the iaudio. If it is slightly too big, the diffference is nothing that a nice file will not solve. If their (accushop.nl) shipping times are correct, I will receive my 1700mah battery by Friday. If it turns out to be only a 600mah one, I will use their money-back program. They have the right certifications to be trustworthy though, and their battery is priced high enough to be of decent quality.

Expect a full explanation and maybe a guide by Saturday.

Heh, I'm a student and aside from my summer job, I have lots of time on my hands. So when they deliver the battery, is when you'll get pictures and updates, basically.

I hope it'll be tomorrow or the day after... :/

Let's hope the battery arrives tomorrow.

why did they even solder the battery on, why not just use a latch or clip ... or something?

Just try it and you will easily understand why I prefer to solder!
