Default SqueezePlayer

The Z2 is just made for this app with android OS and Wi-Fi.

It works perfectly on my local network streaming Flac sources from my NAS.

The problem arises should you want to connect from a remote Wi-Fi. The usual android VPN settings aren't where they should be. Does anyone know if it's possible to add VPN from an app? The one's I've tried (5VPN, NeoRouter)replace the settings, but no joy on a connection.

Hello,

first of all you need to install the tun.ko driver.
See this thread:
http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=40817

You can find the tun.ko there. Afterwards you have to install the driver on your rooted phone, either via tun.ko installer (from market) or with any instruction. (you should have a look in an Android Forum for instructions, if I 'll have more time tomorow I will post the instructions here)

I installed the VPNC Widget. This works fine for a while, but disconnect after a while because Android 2.3.5 on our Z2 has not the 'advanced Routing' feature.
I don't know it OpenVPN would work. Haven't tried yet.

Otherwise, if you are not able to install VPN on your device you can open the Ports 9000 and 3483 for your NAS 9000 and 3483 at your Router. Don't miss to protect the Logitech Media Server with an Passport if you do this.

Thanks IosAntonis, I can confirm that your driver has made it to the tun.ko installer database

I had no luck with my installed apps or VPNC widget, but VpnRoot does the job for my pptp vpn.

Edit: It shows up in the market as VpnROOT - PPTP - Manager
