I can only hope they give their next player a nice UI. In the past, Cowon's players (like the J3) had a kind of seedy and poorly designed UI, but recently Cowon created a gorgeous interface for the Z2 on Android with custom widgets, a nifty "pin bar" at the bottom of the home screen, a hypnotizing bootloader, and custom-skinned apps. I don't know how Cowon pulled it off with the Z2, and I sure hope they can give the successor to the J3 a similar or nicer looking interface.

I happen to love OLED screens ever since I bought a Zune HD, but Cowon made a bad choice with PenTile. Samsung, or whoever invented the PenTile Matrix must have been out of their minds. I could care less if the screen lasts for a little longer, the weird pixelation and screen artifacts of Super AMOLED (non-plus) screens are terrible! I would really like Cowon to continue their tradition of using AMOLED/OLED displays, but I think they should choose a standard RGB OLED or Super AMOLED+ screen for their next device.

On a side note, I doubt Cowon will EVER put a camera in their music players. I feel like they think it would be too expensive or that it would simply be unnecessary. Let's face it guys, even if they did put a camera in there they probably won't use a nice one. After all, Cowon is the kind of company that puts two to four year old hardware (in terms of performance, resolution, etc.) in brand new devices.

why would somebody want to have a cam in their mp3-players?!
In my opinion things are going way to far. Everybody wants to have a super-pretty-slicky-techstuff-mutitalent-mission-control something. Most of the people nowadays have a smartphone. The people who can't afford a decent smartphone probably won't afford a pricy cowon product. Cowon will never be able to compete with Apple,Samsung,Google(Motorola) etc. They have a limited market in south korea for their pocket pcs. And I think they don't really design a lot of their products to fit the needs of different markets either. I would be happy if the design a simple little Mp3-player, good sounding, fixing the bass rolloff, good battery life, nice screen (and not bigger than 3"). Everythin anybody would want to have in addition to that should be in your phone you wear in your pockets. Wifi, Cam, Top-Notch-Screen, Apps all that stuff.

Ok, that's a point. So there are a few apps that could/should be implemented within the OS. But all the additional stuff, I mean a camera? What else, GPS, NFC?
We can just hope a big company buys cowon and starts producing smartphones with the audioquality that we're used from cowon. That should fit all our needs, I think.
