Alternative choice for M5/M5L?

After a few years of service, my trustworthy M5L has decided it had enough and wants to rest in peace. The headphone socket is no longer working properly - had it fixed a few times, but now it seems to be beyond repairing.

Any suggestions for a gadget to get instead of the M5L? Can be Cowon or any other manufacturer. I was quite happy with the M5L and would get it again if they still made these. The main feature I want to experience again is the superb sound quality - is there any other device that can match it? A good battery life would be next on the list.

I own a M5L and i am still using it!!! A year ago i bought a S9. Fantastic machine, it took me a while to get used to the touch screen. But after firmware 2,53 it is superb. I am using it with a modded UI. The J3 menu.
Fantastic sound, great menu and a good battery life (+40hours)

Apart from the looks and the J3 having extendable memory, are there other fundamental differences between the S9 and the J3? Just so I know what is there to the $75 price gap. Didn't find much else by reading the product descriptions.

Thanks! So far, it looks like I might be going for the S9, unless someone points out any considerable advantages that J3 might have over it.
