Default Cowon Z2 and TV output (SCART)

Hi Guys,

I just bought a Cowon Z2 and will recieve it in the next few days.

My Question is regarding the TV out, I have an S9 now and I often play movies on my tv through a Cowon cable into the SCART of my TV.

The Z2 has a Micro HDMI out, but I cannot find a cable for the Micro HDMI to SCART. Is there any way I can plug it into my old TV (cheaply?)

thanks

I don't know what the quality will be like, but it should work. I don't know what you consider "cheap", but that should cost ~$30+shipping.

Which hdmi to scart cable would you use? Micro to hdmi looks good, but I didn't see an hdmi to scart.

This won't work because there is component RCA cable on the 2nd picture and composite RCA adapter on the 3rd picture.
BTW I tried to connect VGA screen to my dvd using the cable from 2nd pic but it didn't work for some reason.

Aside from the fact it's $54, It's an electronic device that is for taking a scart input, and converting it to HDMI. It has a SCART input, but only outputs HDMI.

Good catch, I corrected the mistake (although now it is up to 4 connectors...lol

mutescream
Your combination: HDMI>VGA>RCA>SCART - VGA does not support audio.
Mine combination: HDMI>RCA>SCART - seems better

Yours probably is (and has fewer electrical connections). If yours had been up initially, I wouldn't have posted. I only went back to correct the error, because I did not want to leave incorrect info up (and be responsible for it being there).

Thanks for your responses all.

it seems quite cumbersome mixing and matching all these cables also it seems I will need to invest some money into it as some cables are quite expensive (total expense $30-$60 depending on solution).

I was thinking to maybe go with a different solution though, I'm looking into digital set top boxes. I heard someone say that these sometimes take HDMI in, however I'm having a hard time finding the correct one.
