Default Cowon x7 - on the fly playlist?

New to the forums and my first Cowon product.

so far excellent sound quality of my 600 cds (about 55 gb) with 192/224 kbs MP3. may do flac files later when time permits.

bought it just for the sound quality and space- did not care about video and the other goofy useless functions.

too bad the great eq does not have option to stay visible on the screen all the time while the song is playing. i would like to see a real time eq dancing on the screen rather than the album artwork.

I cant seem to create a playlist on the fly. so if I am listening to an album- i want to be able to search the other albums and songs and add a few to play next. i can do that with my creative labs zen 60gb jukebox and loved that function.

I don't want to have to create playlists always on the computer and sync with the device.

I see the favorite function which can be used to play favorite songs up to 255 entries but that is not what i am thinking of.

let me know if I have missed some easy function or trick.

thank you .

i bought this player, for the exact same reason as you. however u might as well forget about playlists as there doesnt seem to be way, heck u cant even transfer ur playlist from the computer over.

as for flac, i uploaded 80GB of music into this beast, to find out that some of me albums missing, under closer inspection, they act are on the drive, but dont show up as a music album!

Create a "On the fly" in the X7 is quite simple! If you are interested and have not yet discovered how to do, just let me know.

^Is there a reason why you can't just post the solution?

Sorry, I thought more appropriate to post it as a new thread:

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but this doesn't seem to solve his problem, and my concern for that matter.
What I'd like to know is, if I'm playing a file, can I choose which song is to come next? I mean, if I'm playing file A, can I go into the browser and choose file B, then add file C, D etc. so that they will play in that order, all this while playing file A?

And a second question, though it's kind of the same. If I'm playing a playlist that I've made, can I add files to it? And if it is not possible while playing, is it possible at all to add files to a playlist from the device?

Thanks!

Once you add your first song into the favorites list you can play that song and add more following it. (up to a limit of 256 songs)

This should answer both of your questions.
