Default TV only Video Playback

Hi,

I have a problem which I cant describe properly in English since it ain't my native language.

I try it like this:
  • Z2, brand new, 100% factory settings, hdmi cable connected, TV output set:
go online click on web-video -> Z2 goes auto. in full screen, displaying only on tv. No picture on the device, only a nav. bar (rew, play/puase, fwd) if taped on the display.
    .
  • Z2, launcher changed to "GO Launcher", browser changed to Opera/FF/Dolphin, hdmi cable connected, TV output set:
go online, click on web-video -> Z2 plays video on TV AND on device.
This isn't only annoying but also bad for the battery.

Even if I now use the pre-installed "Internet" app the old behavior is gone.

I don't understand how android is working here. What is the problem?
Is it the browser?
Is it a missing or broken video player app?
Is it the new launcher?

So the question is: How do I get the old behavior back?

** edit **
If I go to youtube and wanna watch a video isn't that possible with ff or opera at all... how ever, "back in the day" there always came this little popup asking "You wanna do this with JetVD?" ... this has also disappeared.
**
inb4 full reset

Thanks!

Bye

Seeing how you are explaining it, it seems it is the launcher causing this. With Cowon's rather small battery, I'm sure Cowon forced some measures to lengthen batter life including what happens to HDMI out. Go Launcher probably ignores these countermeasures.

There is an option in the preferences menu to change the force this app to open instead of having a choice, I'd tell you where to look but I'm doing a video/movie battery test right now.
