D2+ DAB firmware 4.13

Just wanted to add this because I couldn't find the firmware listed @ http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=21572. At http://www.cowon.ch/01_deutsch/downloads.html you can get the firmware version 4.13. Odly it does neither appear on the cowon-global site nor on the cowon-germany site. But it seems to fix the same bugs like 2.13 for the non-DAB D2+. At least my flac tags are recognized.

I modified the IPhone resource skin file (D2_P_RS.bin) of http://soarboxroom.web.fc2.com/D2-TOP.html so that it can be used with D2+ DAB 4.13.

Just in case you don't know how to upgrade:
1. Connect the D2+ DAB to the PC.
2. Transfer the file D2_P.bin downloaded from http://www.cowon.ch/01_deutsch/downloads.html to the root directory of the D2+ DAB.
2. Disconnect the D2+ DAB from the PC.
3. Switch on the D2+ DAB and let it upgrade the FW until it switches off.
4. see 1.
5. Transfer the files D2_P_FT.bin and D2_P_RS.bin (either the original or the modified)to the root directory of the D2+ DAB.
6. see 2.
7. see 3.
You're done!

By the way this upgrade worked for me on a D2 (not D2+!) DAB from 4.12.

Hi michael1946,

I am just trying to do this (4.13 on D2 DAB).
I put the D2_P.bin in the root of my D2, but when I restart the Cowon starts normally into my FW 4.60b. No change of FW.
What am I doing wrong?

I made this upgrade from 4.12 to 4.13 as I described.
If you want to change from a D2 DAB FW to a D2+ DAB FW you have to go the long and winding road via tcctool as far as I remember, see e.g. http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=27051!
