Default Dynamic Play List - How does this work?

I have recently switched to the RockBox Firmware. This has been a refreshing experience to say the least. I now have the ability to randomly play ALL of my music. To do this I set my player to play "Artits >All Tracks" in the Tagchache mode. I would like to add certian "favorite" songs to the dynamic playlist while I am listening in the All Tacks mode (playlist?). Does anyone has ideas on how to accomplish this or perhaps could point me to the docs on how the playlist feature works (I could not find a good description in the RockBox Manual)?

If I get you right this should do the job:
Go to the song you want to add and press&hold the joystick until a menu pops up.
Then it's: Playlist > insert / enque.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I think I might be misunderstanging what a playlist is. I am under the impression:

When I am in the tagcache mode, a playlist is created by my selection in the list. For example from the menu Artist > Jack Johnson > All Titles would create a playlist of all Jack Johnson's songs.

So the problem arrises; I would like to have a playlist of my favorite songs. So while i am listing to all my Jack Johnsons songs (playlist?) I come across a song I would like to add to my favories playlist. If i hold in the joystick the context menu that comes up refers to option for the current playlist, not my favorites playlist. I guess that I am trying to do is emulate the functionality of a dynamic playlist that the orginal X5's firmware has.

Browse plugins>Favorites (I think there's a shortcut but I can't remember)

The favorites playlist will be created in the root folder. Then you can add and remove songs

But the cool thing about Rockbox is that you can also create other Playlists and even name/edit them whatever you want.

Do you know how does it work? I thought it would create a playlist like Playlist>Save Current Playlist, but it works different, doesn't it? I mean, it creates a playlist based on the songs actually played on that playlist, right?

I have no idea and it's all a bit confusing.
Anyway I found this on the Rockbox Forum:
The playlist catalog .m3u files need to be in a folder called 'playlists' in the root of your drive.
