Got it right now.

Using the 3.0.1. swfmill.exe + make browser from the FlowBrowser_103P.zip linked in first thread and to make the last correction I took the resource2.uci from your post #21 in ths thread.

As stated in former post. If I use the makebrowser + uci found in 103p.zip I will see same pic and same title over and over.

As stated above. If I use the makebrowser + uci found in post#21 in this thread it all looks good. Of course that was a little exaggerated.

When tapping any album coverflow properly tries to show full album art. I get the err page telling: "No Album Art Found Please update your Cache".

I could get along with that with that as long as the tracklist works.

Having 1052 albums in total. The first 99 albums looks perfect (beside the err mentioned above). The #100 is having an empty track list and after that it seems that all track lists/arts are misaligned or track list is missing.

Is it possible to make the uci I use being able to handle more than 100 albums? like 2000 (two thousand) albums?

---
in AACache.1 I have a line up of all 1052 albums in size 275*275.
For clarification this i what i have in AACache.1 where coverflow fails is marked with **

row number, title of .jpg
096, 096064_Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band^Live 1975 - '85 [Disc 2].jpg
097, 097064_Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band^Live 1975 - '85 [Disc 3].jpg
098, 098065_Bruce Springsteen^Darkness On The Edge Of Town.jpg
099, 099065_Bruce Springsteen^Human Touch.jpg
100, 100065_Bruce Springsteen^Lucky Town.jpg **

Im not sure if this is of any use, but apperently the coverflow fails where the file name begins to have a value in the first digit that is greater than zero?

Any suggestions or a possible fix - that would be greatly appreciated.

Kindly
Kwas

PS. If any info is missing or some I wrote ain't crystal clear - let me know and 'I'll do mine to fill in the blanks.

FYI, it works fine at around 300-400 albums. J3

I got similar results until I copied the entire AACache.1 to the internal memory as well.

You could try building the cache on a library with less than 1000 albums. There's a 3-digit maximum in the indices and I guess its possible that the numbering system "overflows" somehow and causes misbehavior. Also when you have that many albums the UCI file itself grows quite big; at some point it seemed that it can get too big to fit into the RAM of the device and therefore refuse working (your problem is likely not due to this however).

I have very limited possibilities to test any of this, my 8GB J3 can hold no more than ~60 albums.

The AACache.1 copied entirely with exact same dir name from root of HDD to root of FLASH drive did not fix the 'Album does not exist, please update Cache' problem.

But - indeed the art and track lists does manage to be in sync in the Coverflow if you use less than 1000 albums. I tested it with 996 albums (I removed artists from buttom up) and it works all the way through, including my Lucky Town Album which are the #100.

You are so much on top of this El Maco, much apprciated that you can show me that it aint me that are failing, but a limitation was hit. If it at all is possible to get rid off or upper the limitation you know that would be a blast.

About the missing 'full art' Im not sure if that is fixable or if I just got that part wrong? - I made the test after I cut my base down to 996 albums eg. both AACache.1 are exactly alike with 996 albums.

Thanks a ton for all the effort !

Kindly
Kwas

Hi Kwas, similar problem popped up for me recently as well.

I converted from FLAC to OGG to try to get all my music on the X7. I now have 1036 album covers and coverflow behaves normally until I tap on an album.

Near the begining of the list, the expanded view will display the cover of the album below the one I tapped. For example, if I tap Album 1, the expanded view shows the cover of Album 2.

Further down the list, the expanded view will display the cover of the album 36 places above the one I tapped. For example, if I tap Album 1000, the expanded view shows the cover of Album 964.

Wierd stuff! But definitely seems like something to do with the 1000 album upper limit.

Oh el maco, how we need you so!!

Graciously,
timbo.

Hi Timbo

Besides the missalignment that could be solved by only having less than 1000 albums in the directory that contains the albums that are being handle by the makebrowser (additionally you can add the rest of the albums in a seperate folder on the /HDD and all can be found via the normal browser)
- do you get a picture of any given album when expanding the view in coverflow mode?

I still haven't found out how not to have the err shown: "No Album Art Found Please update your Cache".

It's not a show stopper as I can just drag the error right or left to let Cowon play the album - anyway it would be somewhat Pro to get the full cover displayed when expanding the picture in coverflow mode.

Hey Kwas,

I do not get the "No album art..." error, I did when I was first figuring out how to get coverflow to work on X7, but solved it by copying AAcache.1 to the flash root folder I believe. Oh, I should mention I do not have any songs on the flash drive.

Good idea about separating my songs to two folders with under 1000 albums per folder, gonna try that later and report back.

Let's get this baby to work! GOGOGO!
