Playcounts

Hello I've had my J3 for a few months now, but there is something that I still haven't been able to figure out: is there any way of having my J3 keep track of playcounts? Is there any way to record play counts from the J3? I don't think the J3 keeps track of that innately, but is there any kind of third-party software that can keep track of the play counts from the J3?

I have kept track of my playcounts since 2007, through iTunes, using the iPod I had. Now that I switched over to the J3, I really, really, really would want to continue that trend.

Any help is appreciated!

As far as I know, you can somehow log the played songs to add it to your last.fm acc later. But you have to use "mtp" as usb-mode for that...
But I dont know if you can get a play count as a number.

I never have tried that and therefore dont know how (good) that works.
