Anyone using this yet? Is it safe to upgrade from the 4.33 firmware?

Why wouldn't it be safe?

I was wondering if it would cause weird bugs.
Edit: The transition animation is broken.

The transition animation works fine for me, but the player doesn't vibrate anymore if I press a soft button. And yes, I did check the settings.

..weird scenes inside the goldmine...

It is the same game everywhere....
you can call it "change the bugs", but "remove the bugs".

i will try the new firmware this weekend. Very curious about it, if the old bugs are eliminated, or just new were added.

... damn, my Z2 is caught in a bootloop. Any ideas how to fix that?

edit: Re-installed the firmware from the Recovery menu. That fixed it.
edit2: Now everything works fine - both the transition animation and the soft button touch feedback. I guess the firmware wasn't installed properly.

(BTW, now I see why you asked if it's safe, snakebite2)

Cowon used to recommend a factory reset on my d3 firmware. I think it's a good idea to do a factory reset if you're upgrading from the 4.33.

The transition animation doesn't look right if you're doing it from landscape. Soft button? you mean the menu, home and back button? The haptic feedback works for me.

But it isn't recommended on the announcement - also, it works fine now (see edits). I guess I just had bad luck and the firmware didn't install properly.

Press the menu button in the music app and select "Preferences". There it is.

I guess Cowon has abandoned the 2.xx/3.xx/4.xx users and are just only popping Firmware updates to the brave users of the 1.xx Firmware. Sadly I have not tried to update as I'm holding out for a firmware that isn't the 1.xx variety. I'm afraid that if I do it'll either wipe my device setting/memory/screen layout or the 4.xx firmware will come out shortly after boasting better fixes and real English translation explaining what they did with the update (currently we have to depend on translation programs)...

Cowon just released V4.35.

da1: By the way, I can tell you why there wasn't an international V4.34 update - V1.34 was a beta firmware.
