I'm a Last.FM scrobbler, so I'm still set on using MTP mode, but I've now gone way over my 32gb limit, and it has got to the point where I can't take anymore music off to make space for the new.
So... Has anyone tried if the J3 works in MTP mode with a microSD card in it. Sounds obvious but the MTP mode is so bad it's almost guaranteed to fail, and I'm obviously keen not to brick it. Hopefully it does work, I dread having to get a you-know-what just becuase Last.FMers have no other options on larger than 32gb players. Thanks for any help guys. |

First things first. It shouldnt brick the J3. It just plainly won't work. But if you have Windows 7 it should work. Worked for me. But i do prefer MSC over MTP any day.

OK just tried it, and surprisingly, it works fine.
I'm using mediamonkey, (latest edition of 19/7/2012), and it shows up as a second mtp player, so rather than add to the sync list, I just sent my new music to the SD card, and it all worked flawlessly, and adds to last.fm via QTScrobbler perfectly |
