I'm not certain to what I did wrong, but while trying to install a new button config while on hold, the cell padding for all menu's increased to the point where I can see only 3 items per screen
Ex: Main Menu only visibly shows (until I scroll down of course): Files Database Resume Playback Once we get that fixed, I also have issues installing the button config. Am I supposed to extract the files, and then copy them into the root of my rockbox folder? I've tried but to no avail. Thanks for reading, any help is appreciated. |

Hello cryptic,
you can change the "line padding in lists" in Settings -> General Settings -> Display -> Touchscreen Settings -> Line padding in Lists. I hope I got the translation of the menu items right, because I don't use english language and the manual is missing that section. I have set it to 24px and I am unsing 18-Adobe-Helvetica-Bold.fnt with the cabbiev3 theme and I have 4 items in every menu screen. Of course, it also depends on the font you are using how many items are shown. I never installed the custom button config patches. All download links for the patched builds are down on http://www.d2rockbox.co.uk/?a=patches only the patches are downloadable. So you possibly have to compile your own build with the patches that are available there. See http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/UsingGit...m_someone_else or http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/WorkingWithPatches/ for how to compile your own build. The wiki and the forums on rockbox.org surely have more infomation about that. But if you already have a patched build (I assume a *.zip file containing a folder named ".rockbox") extracting it, copying that folder to the root of the player (or better to the sd-card, because rockbox works better then) and let all files being overwritten should work. But could you please explain "no avail" better? Is there an error message, or something? Hope you can sort all problems out. Greetings c_k P.S.: I saw in an other post, that your first mp3 player was a creative muvo. That was my first player too. I think I have to use it again some time for the good old times ;-) Last edited by cereal_killer; 07-14-2012 at 13:45.. |
