J3 is available in India $324 for 32 GB (local Rs 18500)
J3 16Gb $263 (Local Rs 15000).
These are @ current $ to local currency conversion prices, 1 $ = Rs 57.
I bought the J3 2 years back for Rs 18000 including the Leather case.

Amazon still has a few white 8GB J3s. I just bought one to replace my beloved D2.

Figured I better get one before they were gone. Can't say I'm excited about the X9 at all.

Not cheap, but Sears has 32GB J3 for sale at about $400. It says "in stock".

true - but the sound quality is (supposed to be) the same.
(although, if he's as ancient as me the screen might be too small)

the c2 has a metal back and with a jelly case, can take a reasonable amount of abuse.

i suggested the c2 as an alternative, based on the same quality of sound and usage on public transport.

For those in Europe there is a seller on Amazon called "AV-Shop" who has a few J3 left, I just received mine a couple of days ago, a white 16Gb model, clearly overpriced, but my X5 died on me two weeks ago, and really wanted a J3

I've been a bit spoiled by Rockbox on the X5 though, had amazing playlist support not available on the J3 Cowon firmware... but definitely happy with my new J3 anyway!

Hello

I live in Germany and I've searched the j3 like 2 weeks and couldnt find it over here... so I asked Cowon Germany and they said , they will not sell it anymore

So my question is. they said to me, that they could offer my a bit used cowon j3
8 GB from a journalist for a test, for 170 Euro.
Now I just think about buying it mhmhm or buying the d3 instead. Should I buy the j3 or d3 or wait for a newer player (Ive heard that they are going to release another one?)
I really wanted to have the j3 , but I dont know if its good for that money and so on.
Im happy for every help <3

I hesitated too, for me it was hard to decide for a J3 or a C2... I thought the D3 didn't have enough playback time, and features I already have on my android smartphone. The C2 seems to have excellent audio, small form factor, excellent playback time, SDCart slot, not too expensive, but an average user interface. If there had been no more J3 i'd have chosen the C2 because I don't watch videos, I don't like to recharge battery everyday, and it's small.

I got a 16GB one for eur 199 last week via Amazon Market Place Germany... very to hard to get one's hands on...

was looking quite a while for an acceptable offer.

Currently still using my S9, got a nice workaround involving a keychain ring and an iPhone sim tool

I've been using it to turn on my S9 for some time now.

Guess I'll just wait for new players.. The X9 looks promising, apart from the size

Hopefully Cowon will announce some new players soon.
If it completely dies before that, I'll guess I'll just go for the C2. I used to watch a lot of video, but haven't been doing that for a couple of months now.

Wow I can't believe they quit selling the J3. It had it's share of gremlins but it was a solid player. Good thing I have two of them, love the form factor.
