Help Cowon X7 dies

Hi Audiphile people!

Thee is some issue with my X7. I got it from japan a while ago but it died on me the second time now. While I had it repaired in germany like 4-5 months ago due to their kind support, this time I doubt it will work this way.

I didn't use the x7 and wanted today to listen to my big 2.0 stereo in living room, BUT it went different than expected. It doesn't boot, charging doesn't have any effect. So what now?

Any ideas?

How long did it sit since the last time you used it? There is an issue with the battery dropping below a useable level when it sits. Once it does that, it doesn't seem to even charge through the USB port. If that's the case, you probably need the Cowon AC adapter (not the one with the USB port, the one that connects to the X7's dedicated power connection), and you might have to even try that a few times before it will recognizes it and charge (I inserted and removed the plug into the X7 several times and then let it charge overnight before I got a response).

It was sitting there for around 4 months becuse I was busy...Right now I don't have the AC adapter. If it will solve the problem, then I have to get it and test....that's crappy =(
Thanks for the help, will report after testing the mentioned!

Never leave the cowon x7 on standby mode and always turn it to set off automatically. This will save you more grief in the future. (also hopefully recharge when deemed fit)

By the will of the Gods my X7 has come back for the fourth time!!!!!! I randomly plugged it in through my USB 3.0 port after 5months of not working. I've probably tried the same thing (not with ac; only USB) about once or twice a month. Worst flaw in a electronic device I've ever seen. I've revived it the other three times with the AC adapter. Now I can finally enjoy portable music...I was so done with my super shitty Nokia Lumina phone sound quality.
