Thought I make a list of games that work/wont work smoothly on the z2. Maybe, later, I add apps/widgets.

Post what u got and I update the list.

• Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (freaking gyroscope probs)

actually, shadowgun worked fine for me, but you have to download the normal version and not the THD.

another game that didn't work for me is GTA 3.
when I try to get gameloft games it says that it isn't compatible with my device, but when I try to get Rockstar games it download the update and then does nothing, if I try to open the game nothing happens.

all the other games I tried worked smoothly.

thats interesting... i have the non-thd-version.
Install: ok
Menu: ok
Game: nope

All I see after starting a new game is "loading please wait".
I hear the intro-video, and after that i hear something like rain. Im able to shoot, but all i see is that black screen saying "loading...

I use FW 4.33. You?

I use the same firmware.
I had this problem when I skipped the entry video, try to watch it and don't skip anything.

To those who are experiencing popping and crackling in your game's sound, be sure to have Cowon's default music or mic app's running in the background. Some sound issues can't be avoided though like for instance, Riptide GP has this AWEFUL stuttering sound but the game is actually still playable and smooth (I advise turning the sound all the way down though.

EA's Heavy games work well with the z2... well at least Dead Space so far (HEADPHONES HIGHLY ADVISED, very good/scary game!)

Ezone.com games like their Snowboard and Diversion games look great (Free too) and play just fine.

All four Angry Birds work and play just fine btw...

Same goes for Silvercreeks Hardwood card games like solitaire, spades,hearts, euchre, and backgammon are extremely high quality (their solitaire is the best you can get on Android). They have full version that costs a little but they do have a free model, giving you the purchasing option for additional modes or cards at your own discretion.

Sega's Sonic CD works FANTASTICALLY, my all time favorite Sonic game is now playable on the go for me thanks to the z2!

Popcap games like Bejeweled 2 and Plants vs Zombies run well for your casual gaming needs, even Fruit Ninja works very good.

In regards to emulators, the best running ones you can grab for the z2 (or android in general) are as follows.

NES: NES.emu (well worth the $)
Gameboy w/Color : GBC.emu (Well worth the $)
Gameboy Advance: Gameboid (avoid buying VGBA at all costs, it's very complicated in getting any game to run well or sound well. Gameboid is Free.)
Super Nintendo: Snes9x EX (Free)
Genesis and Sega CD, GameGear, and Master: MD.emu (well worth the $)
Nintendo 64: N64oid (well worth the $, Ocarina of Time runs pretty good, so does Perfect Dark/Goldeneye - Mario 64 runs fantastically as most EVERY emu on any platform does.)
Playstation: FPSe (CRASH BANDICOOOOOT, well worth the $)
Will try more emus soon, just need to shy away from that subject to avoid a possibly strike on my profile >.>.

Onlive is pretty good (and free to try demo's out on) but you must have all your bars to enjoy it at all or else it stutters like crazy.

Scummvm is awesome as usual - very glad it works like it should. Being able to play monkey Island and Kings Quest 6 is awesome. Full Throttle ftw too!

Sparkle is a Zuma like game that has a story/RPG elements, it has a free demo on the Google Play store but the full game is bugged like mad... although, Sparkle HD can be bought on the Amazon App store and runs fine .

Pumpkins vs Monsters is a very unique game in that you have to match sets of pumpkins to throw (flick) at monsters or zombies. Very Fun!

Osmos HD reminds me of Flow from the PSN/PS3 and PSP, very relaxing and runs pretty good - Radiant HD does too, that game reminds me of asteroids on steroids !

Super Stick Man Golf is one of the few golf games I enjoy (heck Amazon sometimes pops the full version up for Free). Sound goes off from time to time though...

Where's my Water may look like a kids game but it's super fun to play (Sometimes the full game pops up free on Amazon's App Store.)

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit needs a FREAKIN GYROSCOPE setting to reset it with your device on a flat surface, otherwise right now you only do donuts all day . Game take a few tries to download the data file too. Game runs but why would you even play it if you can't even steer anywhere...

UPDATE: A friend told me that google is doing a "longest day" sale, EA's 2 big games are on sale for a buck, Mass Effect Infiltrator and NBA Jam, no brainer buy. Both run and look fantastic! Highly recommend z2 owners to at least buy those two before sale ends.

Then he used "alternative methods" to get it to work. If you try to play the regular Play Store games by Gameloft, they refuse to run (message: "device is incompatible").

Interesting fact: There is Asphalt 5 for my Palm Pre available which has an ARM Cortex A8 @ 500 MHz and 256 MB RAM. It's ridiculous that the Android version refuses to run on the Z2 which has clearly better hardware.

Or they simply just don't start. That's what happened when I tried Max Payne. No error massage whatsoever...
