Help Problem with Cowon J3 & UCI (Aeromusic, Cheetah)

Hello, I've bought a Cowon J3 last January but only discovered 3 days ago the existence of UCI
I've been very enthusiastic about it and I've installed first Leaf and Lynx on my J3, but only Leaf (the music interface, isn't it?) was operated... then I deleted both and tried to install Cheetah and Leaf, and this time only Cheetah was ok... -_-
Then I deleted Leaf and replaced it with Aeromusic. It was partially ok, I do have the Aeromusic interface when I'm to the current playing, however, when I go back to the menu I've still the default interface with the hooks and all...

Oh, and since one day, my clock froze without a reason for the second time since I've bought the J3 (this bogue lasted 1 month, the first time)... I've tried the reset button and to install the new firmware (I use the korean one), but it's still the same...
Anyone has an idea for this other problem?

This mp3 player sure is whimsical...

Edit: I've checked the SOL folder and there's still Leaf, Cheetah, Lynx, Aeromusic, Sense and Penguin files inside... Is that ok?

hello and welcome new user!

Leaf isn't a Music UI. Leaf is the Browser which does by the way have a mini like Music UI but a Music UI like Sense or Aero Music is preferred. to your clock feature i don't know. what Firmware you using? the Sol Files you see are the save files for all UIs. these Files store certain data from any UI say like Settings, Custom EQs presents (If the UI has such a feature of it's own rather then using the Firmware EQ setting). leave those Files be. if you want to remove/replace a UI go into the System/Flash UI Folder and delete a Mainmenu/Browser/Music File

cheetah is still in testing stage but it's almost nearly complete. cheetah will have all the UIs built-in and that means rather then having separate UIs for each interface, there will only be ONE UCI (Mainmenu) that has all the UIs within it

If you have the widely experienced clock problem, I think the symptom really is that the clock (a) stops working when you power the J3 on, and (b) starts working when you power the J3 off! I know, bizarre.

Anyway there is an easy "fix", to get the clock working again properly. Just enter the FM Radio app from the main menu desktop. That's it. You don't need to actually tune to any station or play the radio. You just need to enter the FM Radio app, and then you can go back to your main menu desktop.

The clock should now be working normally.

Did this trick fix it for you??

Thank you for your answer, I understand better now! So I can use both Leaf and Aero Music?
I'm looking forward to the final Cheetah then, it seems great! For I'm sometimes a bit lost with all these complementary UIs
Otherwise, I've the 1.29 firmware, because I often use the dictionnary.

HWOW! Thanks a lot! Your method was very helpful!!
Indeed, the symptom you've written were mine!

Without your answer, the clock would have remained frozen during months, since I never listenned to the radio, unless I press accidentally the icon on the desktop (which is something that I surely did last time, without even realize on the moment that the clock was working again due to that...)

you CAN use both Leaf and Aero Music but i'd prefer Sense since you can create custom playlist! Look at this Video to see how http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=...ture=endscreen also here's a video i did for Leaf Browser http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Vd8p...2&feature=plcp
