Is the X5 still the best for SQ, and what setup do you recommend?

My X5 seems a bit of a dinosaur, but is there anything out there that sounds better?

If you still love your X5, what setup do you recommend? Do you think Rockbox sounds better? Have you found a portable amp which gives a worthwhile improvement?

I use mine with ACS T2s, which I reckon are hard to beat. I used to have a Rudistor NKK-01se amp, which was huge but just about portable, and really did improve the sound. But I wrecked it.

Does anyone use the Cowon remote? I got rid of mine because it ruined the SQ.
