Ok cool thanks for the info i just hope they last as long as my sony's over ear headphones. Im getting some comply foams with them so i should be good to go.
Is it true that its better to copy music on the J3 rather than just drag and droping it? |

You copy by drag and drop. So I don't know what you are asking?

Dragging Folders or Highlighting copy/pasting are the same thing pretty much

ya that was a stupid question but ill explain better and i know both actions end with the same result and that the files are copied to the J3 but:
Copy the file and then paste directly to the J3 = Good Click drag and drop = Not as good The action is slightly different but the end result is the same i know but this is what i got from a review. Sometimes it can brick the J3. Its very rare but someone did write it. So im wondering if this is true. I am computer inclined i build my own systems and alot of people rely on me for my help when it comes to computer builds or fixing so im not a noob when it comes to tech stuff. But this is just precaution on my part. Why would one action be ok = result copied files and the other slightly different action same result = copied files but not be as good and might if its true...brick the J3. It think its a bunch of hogwash but has anyone heard or read something similar? |

Once again, drag and drop is copy and paste. There is no difference. One isn't riskier than the other, unless for some reason dragging and dropping gives you an urge to disconnect the J3 while it's still copying.
People end up with bricked J3s usually because they use Macs and something weird happens there, or they don't safely eject their J3. Just be sure to always use the "Safely remove..." thing, and you shouldn't have any problems. |

It's never wrong to safely remove your player, even when you're using Windows. (If you're an advanced user, you can turn the player's cache off and don't have to safely remove it... but as I said, do that only if you know what to do)

Are you asking me LOL. Im new to the J3 experience i dont even have one yet LOL. Im just pulling your leg Kizu LOL. But in a way im not supprised because Cowon is directly in competition with CRapple.
Why isent Cowon advertising like mad? Seems to me alot of people would benefit from knowing this company. Granted that it might drive the price up some thus creating more demand but still...With a broader client base more service even apps would be alot more relevant. More money for this company more research = better products. |

Hm, I suppose you're right. I wasn't thinking of the firmware when I wrote that. However, even though it probably won't happen anymore, it's still true that most previous accounts of bricking were involving Macs.

Excellent. Thanks for starting this thread frenchie.....this has most definitely made up my mind.....I'm swapping my S9 for the J3 within the next few months......when I get some spare change gathered up.
Be sure to post your thoughts about the J3 and how it is paired with the Klipsch image S4 earphones.....I might get them too! Thanks to everyone else for their input

So if you want one, you're going to be getting it from "existing stock" at whatever source or vendor you use. And that stock is only going to be reducing from this point forward, and never increasing again. Just wanted to be sure you didn't wait too long to place your order, in light of these recent development. |
