Default Cowon J3 Case Descision

Hi Guys - I am about to purchase a Cowon J3 and I really want to buy a case and/or screen protector for it. Can anybody tell me what is the best case out there? I don't want it to be bulky or loose - I want a case that is nice and slim and tight. I would prefer rubber, silicone, or plastic. Any recommendations? The link for the site where I could get one one be greatly appreciated.
As for a screen protector, I just need one that is easy to remove in case I want to take it off the player, and it doesn't affect the touch screen. Thanks a lot!

I recommend the Rearth Ringke case, it's only $16.99 plus $1.99 shipping on E-bay. I'd purchase mine 8 months ago and it still looks like new. They also sell screen protectors for $9.99 (2 per package).

I use a Ringke on my J3 and have ordered a Cowon J3 case for my 2nd J3. The Ringke doesn't feel loose but it's a very thin piece of rubber encasing the J3. It flexes very easily.

If you want to really protect the J3 then the official Cowon J3 jelly case might be your choice. It really firms up the device and is a thicker rubber as opposed to the Ringke. Both products are quality and the Ringke offers different colors.

the cowon jelly is not rubber its plastic, the same type beach balls are made from just much thicker, it offers no real shock protection and has a nasty sharp moulding seem down the edges, not to mention grit gets in very easily and due to the lack of softness it causes scratches eventually (very poor quality), also the button holes inside dont fit well so you get random button presses, you can see that case in the pics of my j3 pics post.

i wasnt impressed with the ringke either for reasons i cant be bothered repeating again.

if your going for the thin styling and practicality rather than the leather with its hefty protection i'd recommend the cheap silicone skins which are of much higher quality than the cowon jelly (also terrible naming for the product, as jelly it is not).

The cowon jelly case sucks, it ruin the back of my j3. I regret buying this terrible case, mediocre quality

Ringke case offers better protection from dust and grit, as you can see from the pictures.

Hmm both my Jelly cases i10 and C2 I can pull on them stretch them and they reshape. They are also soft and pliable. Both of my cases have a rubbery feel which is why I thought they were rubber. I always equate plastics with things that are the opposite of rubber. Anyways i've had no issues with either jelly case. They do a really nice job of protection. My i10 fell out of my hands and fortunately it landed on the backside and no problems.

Man is it Friday the 13th?

So I received my white J3 from exportprive via Cowon-Korea. I use the white Ringke case I purchased and I forgot to put on the screen protector. I take off the Rinkge and wasn't thinking and caught the corner edge and split the case.

So now i'm using the jelly Cowon case until I order another one from Amazon.

I think i'm going to stick with the Cowon case for now. I really like it. Oh and what's weird is i've taken off my other Choco Ringke (1st J3) the same way and nothing has ever happened to it. Don't know if it was a defect but I blame myself for it. I should have started at the top center.

is the Cowon case the best? I get the feeling that the Ringke will flex too much and be kinda loose. Which is better for pressing the buttons?

Pressing the buttons on both require little effort. The J3 is a little tighter using the offical jelly case and the Ringke protects the screen better than the official case.

IMO I think the official case looks better as it's a see thru case.

That's a shame, sorry to hear that.

But as an FYI, there are different flavors of the official Cowon J3 case. Enzyme is correct there is a plastic case and as I mentioned there is the jelly/rubberized case. If you go to the Export Prive website they have the crystal clear J3 case and the jelly case. The jelly case is the one I purchased and i'm quite happy with it. It's a soft rubberized case and it fits my J3 perfectly.

Also, I purchased the Cowon J3 white leather case as Export Prive had a flash sale (it may still be going on) for 50% off. I couldn't pass on that.
