Hi all!
I just bought an I7 16 Go and updated the firmware to 1.18. After several days of googeling and headache of trying to figure out how to make playlist working, I finally start a thread here... There are obviously people able to do so in MTP mode and by using winamp or WMP. I was not able to do so. (despite my Ph.D. in computer science...) Setting the I7 in UMS ao MTP mode make absolutely no behavior difference in how the device is recognized under Windows or Linux. Is this normal ? I would have expected the I7 not being recognized as a standard mass storage in MTP mode. Is this correct ? For those having a working playlist on their I7: does the playlist appear as a regular file on the device ? if so, were is it located ? root or music folder ? Could this file be edited in a text editor ? An finally, and I am obviously not the only one to say that but it is really, really really a shame that m3u files are still not supported. Investing money and energy for ogg and flac support while there is nothing for simple m3u files is simply a nonsense. Playing the file you want in the order you want should be one of the minimal requirement of every players... Thanks in advance for help |

I Love the IAudio7, but have problems with my FLAC file info always getting properly read by it, it often sticks files under "unknown"- and I've not found a good way around it yet. I use WinAmp.

So, nobody here has a working playlist on its I7? I'd really like to understand how to use the "playlist" menu that is available when the file browser is set to "music".
How to use it, and more importantly, how and were is the playlist information stored in the I7. Thanks in advance |

I followed someone's post on here, can't remember who. I am using WinAmp (free version). Made playlists and copied them on the i7. It is a bit buggy though. I find I have duplicates of the playlists and one has the files and works perfectly the other when I go into it says 'no file'. So it is not perfect, but it does work. I have it in MTP mode and file browsing by 'music'. I have the 16gb i7 and it has just over 3,000 music files on it and around 5.something gb free. Boot up time is slower at around 10 seconds instead of about 4.
Hope this helps. Also read somewhere people doing the same as above using MediaMonkey. I tried it. It was buggy also. P.S. I know this player has been out for 3 years even though I just got mine a few weeks ago. SOMEONE OUT THERE MUST BE ABLE TO HAVE WORKING USER CREATED PLAYLISTS that aren't buggy. PLEASSSSSSEEE???????????
