Well, because this is just a .wps and not a full theme, you need to set the touchscreen mode and choose the large font yourself beforehand - the touchscreen 'absolute' mode really isn't any good with the default font, so that's probably why you were having trouble.

So:

- Download the .zip by clicking the picture in lordmyth's first post
- Unzip to .rockbox\wps, making sure it contains 'deedee.wps' and the 'deedee' folder
- Boot Rockbox
- Set the necessary font (19-Nimbus)
- Set absolute touchscreen mode
- Set the While Playing Screen

et voila!

@lordmyth, you should look at providing a 'proper' theme .zip by including a .rockbox/themes/deedee.cfg file, which sets the font and touchscreen mode automatically - your WPS will then appear in the Themes menu.

ie. to make it a theme .zip it should contain these folder/files:

.rockbox/themes/deedee.cfg
.rockbox/wps/deedee.wps
.rockbox/wps/deedee/backdrop-320x240x16.bmp
...etc...

The .cfg file only needs to include a few lines, eg:

Code:
wps: /.rockbox/wps/deedee.wps
font: /.rockbox/fonts/19-Nimbus.fnt
touchscreen mode: point

great work
i like this theme und i'm using it now

is it possible to change the font to a small one?
normally i think everyone is using a large font (>20). i would like to keep the large font systemwide but not on the wps screen. here it would make sense to have a small one (maybe 12-14) to see the whole artist/title/album without scrolling.

I edited this theme and would like to share the result.

The way Rockbox handles transparency is quite a pain. It would be really cool if there was an alpha map to play with.

I hope you guys like it.

Just overwrite the deedee-folder in your wps directory

This theme looks very interesting. Great work. I'll give it a try tonight.

just wondering if it's possible to have grid mode while not in WPS screen, and absolute mode when in WPS?

I appreciate your work on this D2 touchscreen WPS. I'm using it in conjunction with the Fidelity theme. It shows all the pertinent info and functions well.

hello, sorry if this is a noob question, but I can't get this theme to work on my D2 (or the rockbox D2 win32 emulator) : I get no cover, no icons....
but just this 'empty' screen :

any idea why? you can test this using the windows emulator : http://www.rasher.dk/rockbox/simulat...d2-sim-w32.zip

(I have a cover.jpg for the album art in the directory, it's a .flac track ; the cover is displayed in pictureflow). Same result with an mp3 song (cover.jpg in the directory + album art in the ID3 tag)

I did follow shotofadds' advice from his post #16 above

hi oliwek,

this theme was made for older versions of rockbox.
At a certain date there was a big change in the coding rules -> described here.

So you won't be able to use this theme with a version newer than r26727...

Try to find an old build and it should be possible.
