----------==============---------------------
Guide for JetEffect Manager: ----------==============--------------------- Here's my little guide to the JetEffect Manager: (since the translation was gibberish) 1) First, Set up a custom icon to launch this .SWF file in Launcher Mode (see the guide from your UCI of choice) 2) This Custom EQ Manager works using a text file, called JetEffect.txt You MUST create a file called JetEffect.txt in Flash UI directory (so System\Flash UI\JetEffect.txt) Whenever you want to create new presets, this is the file you will have to edit. 3) You can have unlimited custom presets when you use this JetEffect Manager, so create as many as you wish in this text file. Just remember that any time you want to use one of these custom presets, you have to basically copy this preset to one of the Cowon User presets (User1, User2, User3 or User4). I make sure I always used User1, that way User2,3, and 4 can be used for experimenting. Just make sure you don't accidentally over-write a preset that you care about. Each JetEffect Manager preset must have the following settings, one line each (the parentheses just means those are the settings that go there Note: you do NOT put those words in those spaces) Format of each preset: # (Title)________________<-- Your custom Title (Band gain Levels)________<-- Each Band's gain (Negative or Positive) (band frequency selection)_<- Frequency of Each band to tweak (Band width settings)______<- each Band's width (BBE Levels)______________<- Stereo Enhancements (Description) (OPTIONAL) -------------------- A Working Example: -------------------- # CrapVocals -3/1/5/2/4 80/220/650/1.8/6.9 w/w/n/na/na 5/0/2/1/4/3 <end working example> ------------------------ What it means: 1st column: This says that a w(wide) band around 80Hz is being decreased to (-3), and BBE is set to +5 2nd column: a wide band around 220 is increased +1 and Mach3 Bass is turned off. ...etc... Options that can go into your custom EQ text file (Arranged by line number) --------------------------- 1) gain Level choices: -12 to 12 band1/band2/band3/band4/band5 example: -5/1/0/3/1 2) Frequency choices (arranged by column you have to put them in): band1/band2/band3/band4/band5 1: 80 or 105 or 135 or 175 2: 220 or 300 or 385 or 500 3: 650 or 780 or 1.1 or 1.4 4: 1.8 or 2.4 or 3.0 or 4.1 5: 6.9 or 9 or 11.7 or 13 example: 80/300/780/1.8/13 3) Band Width choices: w(wide) OR n(narror) OR na(normal) band1/band2/band3/band4/band5 example: w/w/na/n/n 4) BBE/Enhancement settings (arranged by column number): 1st: BBE: 0 - 10 2nd: Mach3Bass: 0 - 10 3rd: 3D Surround: 0 - 10 4th: MP Enhance: 0 or 1 (off or on) 5th: St Enhance: 0 - 6 6th: Reverb: 0-10 example: 2/3/4/1/3 would be BBE: 2 | Mach3: 3 | 3D: 4 | MP: On | StEnhance: 1 | Reverb: 3 NOTE below: I added the portion in between the "*'s" to the bottom of my file so I always knew what options were available: (this doesn't seem to interfere with the JetEffect Manager at all" **************At the End of my JetEffect.txt I put these lines******** ;Commented-Out-Options: ;[-12 thru 12] ;[80,105,135,175]/[220,300,385,500]/[650,780,1.1,1.4]/[1.8,2.4,3.0,4.1]/[6.9,9,11.7,13] ;[w,na,n]/X/X/X/X ;[BBE 0-10 / Mach3Bass 0-10/ 3D Surround: 0-10 /MP Enhance 0,1 / Ster Enhance 0-6 / Reverbe 0-10] **************End of JetEffect.txt**************************** Reverb is now supported **Edited 2009-10-27**

Hate to double post, but I edited my last post b/c I figured out how this works, and wanted to make a little guide for anybody who first looked at it and thought it seemed too confusing to even try out. If a mod wants to delete this post, that's fine. I won't be offended. I just hate when somebody edits a post and I don't even notice since it didn't come through my email.

For what it's worth, i thought the graph was the best part of this UCI when it came out, so that somebody can see just hot wide the frequency range is that you will be either increasing or decreasing.
I keep both the old version and the new version on my player so I can see the graphs and see the written out description of what it is. Request: if you aren't planning on adding the graph back in, can you patch the old version to support reverb? ![]() Suggestion: I was thinking one way to support the graph now would be to make it so that when you tap the info area (the area where it lists the different bands) It would pop up the graph, and tapping the graph would bring up the line-graph, and tapping that would take you back to the info listing the individual bands.

Should I assume that now we add one more column?
So now it would look like this: # with Reverb -3/1/5/2/4 80/220/650/1.8/6.9 w/w/n/na/na 5/0/2/1/4/3 ??

Maybe UCI uploaded by KromaXamork is not bug-fixed version;;
there is a bug that Frequency do not work properly(?);; Quote:
and that's okay if you don't add reverb level.. if reverb level is not existed, UCI make reverb level to 0..(?) and you can add some text after reverb level example) # Example in JetEffect 3.0 0/0/0/0/0 80/220/650/1.8/6.9 n/n/n/n/n 2/1/1/1/1/2 Example zz |

This graph only displays what a 16 Ohm load does to the S9 amp. Not sure what the graphs in the original post are about.

Hey Kroma. Can you delete my how-to in your first post and put my updated one on there? I got rid of old crap and tried to clarify some things for people.
Thanks!
