I have an unusual request. I'm looking for an MP3 player that doesn't have radio or video, but has a display. It also can't use any special programs to upload music (Itunes.)
And it would be nice, but not needed, a slot to take cards. It's for my sister.

I think the days of 'no video' are behind us at this point, for better or worse. Especially if you also want a card slot.
Though, why does it matter whether it has video? I have video on my iPod...I just never use it. Are you trying to save money?

She's going on a trip and she can't bring anything that has radio or video on it.

Are they seriously gonna check that it has no radio or video? You want a player that is still usefull after the trip, right?

I got a crappy one from woot a while back, that I think doesn't have radio. It plugs straight into a usb port but it has a little display. I think you can get them from deal extreme. DX also has some display-less ones that use sd cards, for under 10 bucks. I have one of those and with the 512mb card I was using, it's actually an ok replacement for something like a cassette walkman. With a larger card I think it would get difficult to navigate or remember where everything was.
Hmm, this looks promising: http://dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1453 This might also be interesting, a boom-box like SD player, though no display: http://dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.14429 This is similar to the no-display one I have, but it has a display: http://dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3915 |
