Help D2+ won't turn on, tcctool didn't work

Hi everybody,

I have a problem with my D2+ and I have two questions for you, one about tcctool and the other about service in Europe.

My D2+ doesn't turn on anymore. I was charging it through usb and I took it out when it finished. I noticed it didn't read the D2 INT memory so I did some turning on and off, plugged into the usb, etc. Soon enogh it refused to start at all.

I then came to the forum and followed the intstructions on how to use TccTool on a bricked D2 (I assume, since the forum name is D2/D2+ and nobody stated otherwise, that it would work, although nowhere in the guide did it say D2+, just D2). I didn't manage to do everything in the guide, because around the middle it went back to not starting at all (the guide said otherwise) so I figured I screwed up and stopped (fearing I might damage something even more). Is the tcctool "workflow" different for the D2+? What firmware should I use it with (I used the most recent - 3.11)? Any updates to that guide I might have missed?

I then tried to find some service place. The only one I could find in Europe was at cowon-germany.com - is this the one I should use?

Are there any other service places in Europe?

I'm really upset about this because I had it for a couple of weeks and was really enjoying it. This is all very "out of the blue". Any advice, please?

Thanks a lot.

Did you put the D2 in the recovery mode? Sounds like a stupid question but i recently also bricked my D2 (not D2+). After loads of times of redoing tcctool i realised that it really does have to be in recovery mode to work. Good luck!

Edit-I also live in europe and i think to repair it you would need to send it to Korea :S. One of the reasons i really wanted to fix the problem my self

I'm pretty sure I put it in recovery mode - I did what it said in the guide. However, it didn't do anything after I pressed M+switch it on, it just looked turned off. Is this how it's supposed to happen?

Where in Korea should I send it? I found a Korean site for Cowon but it doesn't seem to be in English, so any details you might have would be great - just in case I don't fix it some other way.

Mine bricked while it was simply charging, no firmware upgrade or anything. As far as I can tell, nothing out of the ordinary happened. It just died. Does that mean anything?

I'm going to try using the tcctool again. I'll post back.

Ok cool. I heard recently you can send it to Germany to repair but this will need confirmed. Yeh its meant to look off. What i did was printed off Dalmanes guide and ticked each step when i had done it, that seemed to work well. Maybe try reset button and then turn on? Seems odd reason to brick
