Well...I've only used the included charger once, and it worked fine...since then I've just been charging by USB every now and again. Tonight though I tried my charger and got nothing..nothing at all...no hint that anything was happening, or that the charger was connected at all.
So, great, I think to myself...a Firmware update must have done this (as the charger has only been used the once and it worked)...but, as I learnt after downgrading to FW1.12 my assumption may not have been correct... Right now I have the O2 left on Hold and charging via USB off my other computer, just so it can get a little bit of juice...then I'm going to try downgrading to 1.09 or whatever FW my O2 came with just to be sure it isn't the firmware... Now...the really stupid question... I can't remember what the O2 charger looks like, I'm quite sure I am using the right one...well I am very sure I am using the right one...but if a couple of ye could post picks of your chargers so I can be certain that I am using the Cowon charger...there's that off chance that I've picked up a totally random charger that happens to fit the O2.... ![]()

According to the specs at Cowon Global & America, the following or something similar should be on the sticker on the charger: Output: DC 5.0V, 3A Hope this helps...

Here's the full picture:
![]() Here's the sticker up close: ![]() I bet you have so many different devices, you probably got the wrong adapter on your O2. Haha! Good luck and I hope you get a working adapter. As far as I know, you can use any adapter with the same power rating, because on eBay, cigarette lighter adapters are being sold for the O2. I'm going to Wal-Mart this week to look for 1 or 2 extra adapters so I can leave them at my workplaces and plug the O2 in everywhere I go ![]() ![]() ![]()

That's the same one alright....very very odd that it (or the O2) has stopped charging...for no apparent reason....

Hi Dominic,
Don't know if this will help, but I used my X5L 30 gb charger by accident and the O2 charged and operated fine. I did compare the specs on both chargers and although they are somewhat different, I have not noticed any problems whatsoever with the O2. Good luck. |
