Default Playlists

I think I know the answer already (i guess I am just wishing) does the O2 support .m3U playlists??
If not is there a way to take my .m3U playlists in winamp for example and make folders some how on my computer first, without having to manually move or copy each song into a new folder based on the playlist. I have so much music sorted in playlist that will now be useless if there is no way to do this?? Does this make sence to anyone??
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

Mine isn't recognizing my playlists which are just a list of filenames, no locations. I keep the playlists in the same folder as the audio files themselves.

Google 'bulk rename utility' and use the prefix function to add numbers so that cowon can play it in that order. have fun.

Personally, I'm not about to go renaming my entire MP3 collection for one player. I'm either going to accept this quirk or return the player.

Not at all true, they certainly used to support .m3u playlists (X5, T2, M3...among others)

No idea why they would not support .m3u in this player, totally mind boggling.

I thought they did. When I bought my iRiver iHP-120 I think I was looking at the X5 and I remember playlist support being on both players.

Truly a mind boggling feature removal.

seems to me a quick firmware upgrade could fix all that...how do we badger cowon about missing features. I used to have a zen and we used to always be on creative's back about features especially when they tried to remove fm recording from the vision M
