drag and drop for ipod nano?

I was given an ipod nano the other day (someone I know received it as a gift, and didn't want it) and I figure it would make a nice backup to my X5, the only problem is I don't want to install any software (even itunes) on my computer to transfer media onto it - is there any way to modify it to allow drag and drop like the X5 (and most media players) does?
