What about jacks? Some fakes appear to have jacks like the original, while others are easily spotted as fake due to their jacks.

jacks can easily switched if you have the right equipment, its the inside of the speakers the count.

That's why I said "some". Also, what about "popping noise"? It's quite noticeable.

popping noise I think comes from the poor quality plastic sounder. for instance If you buy those cheap dollar headphones and play music, you would almost have the same result because of the frequency overload.. other than that.. I have NOOO idea

No, the popping nosie only comes when you move the fake buds in your ears. The tip moves back and forth which creates a popping noise. The real CX300 doesn't do this. It has nothing to dow ith the quality of sound they reproduce.

the silicone tip? if it is, can't they just buy authentic ones and put them with the fakes? I don't think that sen silicone tips are THAT expensive.

No no, it's not the tips. I have this same problem (and will hopefully get a replacement) and can tell you that it comes from within the plastic part on changes in pressure.

I've taken the tip off and used my mouth to very lightly push air in and out through the grill (I barely used mine, so its not dirty ), and I could definately feel the clicking/popping inside.

BTW, I do suspect mine of being fake.

Hi Guys,

I got mine off ebay from Vileen 1909. The stereo plug is straight, not the L shape, however it did come in original packaging and the length of the right headphone is approximately 48cm according to my measuring tape.

Has anyone else got a pair of these? Perhaps someone is trying to replicate more closely to the original, there is a sticker saying they have come from artsound.com.cn

Thanks

How do I open up the inside of the headphones without damaging them?

I bought them from ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWN:IT&ih=004
they came in the original packaging and look real from the outside but they sound pretty crappy. The bass makes the vocals and music sound drained. I'm no expert but they sound pretty poor. Worse than the ones that came with my psp.
