I have the U2 (1 GB) and was looking for any MP3 player that had alot of battery life. I found the X5 and it seems to fit really well with me. I LOVE my U2 (first MP3 player), never had any problems with it more than a half a year later, the clicker works, it even went through the wash, not one problem.
So I was wondering how the X5 compared to the U2. I am mostly looking for memory, the 30GB looks nice. I love IAudio's set up, I've seen other people MP3 players, and even though they say my controls are confusing, I wouldn't rather have it any other way, the clicker I love. How wrong would it be to look at the X5 as U2's bigger brother. Meaning same basic design, just upgraded with memory, pictures, (video?). Is there a better MP3 player from me that is more like the U2, but with 30GB of memory? |

Well, for one thing, the X5 is a hard drive based player, not memory. This makes much heavier and not as good for certain applications (running or really anything that's going to bounce the player a lot, high altitudes, etc). I don't know much about the U2, as I have never even seen one in person, so I'll let some other people chime in who have experience with the U2 but I wanted to point out that major difference.
