Hello eveyone,
Just reading through a few posts and a little confused (NOT HARD IN MY CASE). I notice that people advise to download Handbrake then download Handbrake Batch encoder. But then they go on to say that you will then not use Handbrake anymore? So can someone please tell me what the differences are between Handbrake and Handbrake Batch Encoder, and why the need to download Handbrake if you are not g oing to use it. Hope this all makes sense???? ![]() Cheers. |

Handbrake can encode and convert video. One at a time or several if you manually add them to an encoding queue.
A Handbrake batch encoder that instructs you to first install Handbrake can't encode anything by itself, but it can use Handbrake to do it. Some think it is annoying to have to add files one by one to an encoding queue, and prefers to do batch conversions instead. So they wrote a program that use Handbrake to automatically encode batches of video files. There are a lot of different Handbrake batch encoders. Some for Windows, some for Unix or Mac. Try to Google "Yet another handbrake batch encoder". I prefer to use just Handbrake from the GUI. I find that much simpler and flexible. But if you have a lot of files to convert, then a batch encoder could be very helpful.
