Using D3 with version 2.25 firmware.
I copied on some flac files which have cover art embedded in the files. The cover art not showing on the D3. mp3 files are showing the cover art without problem. All these files were copied from a J3 machine (where there is no problem in displaying the cover art). Would there be a solution to this? |

If you have a seperate .jpg file of the art, rename it to cover.jpg and put it in the same folder as the flac song on the D3. That works on the J3, and should work on the D3 too.

any jpg within album folder will work.
I have some weird reseizing issues (very low res while the base file is more than 400 x 400); but that's faitly rare.

Putting an image as cover.jpg does solve the problem, but I think there is a problem with the D3 itself as the tagging does not reproduce properly (taking files directly from the J3 where the tagging is working perfectly).
The attached image shows the problem, which is consistent with all flac files, but not mp3 files. |

I'm also having trouble with FLAC tags, only on some files. However it appears on the D3 that the file has no tag information at all.
![]() metaflac reads them fine. I've even installed jetAudio on a Windows VM (I mostly just use Linux) and using that to play the files from the D3 all the tags work perfectly. Anyone have any ideas why the tags don't work on some files would be most appreciated. Edit: I've installed rockbox, and that is reading the tags fine. I've also found a track (FLAC) that does not play at all in the standard music app (in addition to not being tagged!) giving 'Unknown Error', which plays fine in rockbox. Looks like rockbox is the way to go for now. Last edited by pico; 02-11-2011 at 20:55.. |
