Help Could this AC adapter brick my j3?

I have a LG env3 and the charger is just a adapter that plugs into the wall and connects to a usb cord. (and the phone charges by the usb) if i plug the j3's altered usb cord in and use it to charge could it brick my j3?

i have samekind of adapter thing, wich has 2x usb ports, for charging psp and other related things from wall to usb, havent had a problem so far.

So yes, it's perfectly safe, the usb has some standard woltage so i dont see a problem.
