Hi,
I get this "Ok to Disconect" message when I first plug in the X5. I had it working before and used the Safe to Disconnect before when I was done. But now when I plug it in to upload more file to it, all I get is "Ok to Disconnect" and can't get the thing to recognize the X5! I'm running XP too. Can anyone please help? I just got my X5 2 days ago. Thanks |

When that happens to me I have to disconect and turn off my x5, then reboot the computer. DOesn't happen very often and I can't find a pattern to give a hint at what causes it.

That worked for me last night but did not tonight. (Thanks)
I think I may have it figured out. Just now I kept plugging the USB into the X5 WHILE IT WAS OFF and letting the connection activte it. It would then power on by itself and try to connect and a second later show the "Ok to Disconnect" message. (Very annoying) But just now I HAD THE X5 ON and THEN plugged the USB into it and it went to the connection screen and sure enough it connected! I hope this will work for everyone and that this problem is over. |

If you find that rebooting takes too long, just do a Standby instead. It accomplishes the same thing with connected USB devices, and only takes about 3 seconds to standby and about 1 second to come back from standby.
